WHO WE ARE

Felix Aguirre - Director Of Operations

I have a vast background in coaching soccer at the grass roots, competitive, and professional levels. I have been involved with coaching youth sports for over 10 years.
Fitness Coach
Hire a Sports Coach exists for directors searching for new coaches, coaches wanting to teach, individuals in need of a private training and athletes looking to reach their goals and dreams. Thank you for visiting our website and taking steps to improve your game.

I am a graduate of Sonoma State University (home of the "Cossacks"!), where I received my Bachelors Degree in Economics with an emphasis in International, Managerial and Business Econ. I enjoyed an excellent sports career there, winning the league championship in '97. From 1994 to '96, I attended Palomar Community College, where I was voted team captain '96, was First Team All-Conference Inductee '95-'96, and won back to back League Championships in '95 & '96.

As a professional soccer player, I trained and played with Chivas Tijuana, San Diego Gauchos, Arizona Sahuaros, California Jaguars and lived the life of a professional athlete.

Personal Coach

I have been coaching since spring of '96. As a youth soccer coach, I have coached Rohnert Park Express, Cisco of Arizona, Fallbrook Fury, Vista Storm, La Costa Canyon High School and Albion Soccer Club. I have worked with boys and girls ages 10 to 16 at competitive levels. Around my second year of playing professional soccer, I began training men's soccer teams as a conditioning coach, working on fitness, footwork, technique, tactics and mental preparation for games. Training and coaching sports is a fundamental part of my life.

On behalf of everyone here at Hire a Sports Coach (HASC), welcome!

"Train to be GREAT, not just practice."

>>Coach Hall goes "Head To Head" during Aztecs off-season

Matt challenges a striker and knocks his head against the forward. Bleeding he comes off the field and is attended by a trainer to clean his wound and stop the blood flow! Wow, no less than 5 minutes into the scrimmage; nonetheless, the game goes on without their sweeper and amongst the screams, hoots and hollers a scoring opportunity is created!

Coach Matt Hall

Smack, Bamm, Yap… like an episode of Batman, the momentum shifts in favor of the side with a man up. Minutes later, Coach Hall leaps into action. He knows his team needs him and it begins again... tackle after tackle, challenge after challenge, screams after screams, the battle for possession continues. Pass! Square! Switch! Hey! Here! Go! Shot! Crash! A player is injured for the team currently winning 1-nil. The momentum swings again. Tough play reigns on the pitch as another player is carried off the field. Where that player once was, hard words are exchanged between teammates. With no breaks in sight, no timeouts, no wait a minute... can you believe this is only training? No excuse me, pardon me, can I get by please, Oops, my bad! In an attempt to win every individual battle for the sake of the team, only sharp focus on each play, is witnessed. I watch in admiration as each player imposes his will on the other. I can't help but wonder with curious anticipation who will be their first opponent and what the product of this training will be. I think it is going to be a great season for the Aztecs.
